Company history
Eco–Higjiena Sh.p.k., headquartered in Gjilan, was established on May 23, 2012 and began operations on July 1, 2012.
It is the first and only company in Kosovo that operates in the field of waste management based on a Public-Private Partnership, providing regular services to citizens and businesses in Gjilan, Viti and Kamenica.
For more than a decade, the company has contributed to raising waste management standards and improving the quality of life for the local community.
Within the framework of its services, Eco-Higjiena closely cooperates with KMDK – Kosovo Landfill Management Corporation, for the safe disposal and treatment of waste.
This cooperation ensures that waste collected from the territory of the three municipalities is treated in accordance with environmental standards and the legislation in force in the Republic of Kosovo.
Through this partnership, the company aims to guarantee a sustainable, controlled and transparent waste management process – directly contributing to the protection of the environment and the health of citizens.
